The Weird Library Of Art:
There is a sign at the side of the highway "The Weir Library of Art" somewhere in the Niagara region, that is where the name comes from.

That was Malcolm's idea, there is a cassette he put out under the name "Weird Library Of Art" before I joined.
So in 1992 Steven Brown of Tuxedomoon and Nikolas Klau were in Toronto working on the soundtrack Elio Gelmini's film Anger Me.
So someone had the idea that if Steven Brown and Nikolas Klau were in town, we should get them a band and do a show. I'm guessing it was Elio. The show was credited to "Ora and Labora Productions".
Elio kept telling me "This isn't the real Steven Brown". The real Steven Brown lives in a villa in Europe, and is rich and famous, he'd never associate with the likes of us. I'm glad we got such a talented imposter.
So Malcolm Lewis' Weird Library of Art were booked as the opening act. And rather than be alone on stage (because the Opera House is rather large) I was invited to play bass.
Visual backdrop was created by John Dubiel aka Weasel Lizard, the guy behind all those "Industrial Video" nights that were at Toronto bars back in the late 80s early 90s.
Here is the song "Decompression" from that show.
Here is info on either our third show:
The Language Show 1994. We got to share a stage with bill bissett, who was described a "Conservative Member of Parliament" as "Disgusting and Pornographic". Well that is a ringing endorsement in my books; If the Conservative MPs think it's "disgusting and pornographic", I know it's good.
Thanks to my dear friends Beth and Joy Learn for making that show happen.
There might be a Hi8 tape of that show. This is a photo My friend Luisa Salerno took of me,
Nicholas Marcilio, and my bass, Fender Jazz. (real serious stuff). Here is a song called "Vs West" sometimes it gets called "Vs East". I think this is the only music I ever recorded with my Ovation Breadwinner. Bought that because I was such a Wire fan. Strangely on that Colin and Malka tour, Colin was asking if there was a spare guitar he could have as backup. I mentioned the Breadwinner, and he was "No, that's not a serious guitar" or something similar.
Sometime after the dates with Colin and Malka we opened for The Magnetic Fields at Lee's Pualace.
And our last show was Halloween 2002 with the increadiblrle Corpusse. Part of Wavelength series at Sneeky Dee's
